Frequently asked questions

What is a QualiBoxz kit?

Each QualiBoxz kit is a creative, hands-on activity designed to help you slow down and reconnect. Whether it's a book nook, cross-stitch, 3D model, or puzzle, every box is a small journey in focus and presence.

The glue dried up and the nozzle is stuck. What should I do?

If the glue has dried at the tip and blocked the nozzle, don’t worry — here’s how to fix it:

  1. Soak the nozzle in warm water
Remove the cap (if possible) and soak the glue tip in
warm water for 5–10 minutes to soften any dried residue.

  2. Use a pin or needle
    Gently insert a
pin, needle, or toothpick into the nozzle to break through the blockage.

  3. Cut off the dried tip
If the glue has hardened right at the opening, you can
cut off the very tip of the nozzle with scissors or a craft knife to create a fresh opening.

  4. Check if the glue inside is still usable
As long as it’s only dried near the tip, the rest of the glue should work fine once unclogged.

To avoid :

  • Always close the cap tightly after each use.
  • Wipe off excess glue before recapping.
  • Store upright in a cool, dry place.
Why are some building blocks or wooden pieces a bit loose or tight?

Our kits are made from precision-cut materials like wood and plastic, which can naturally expand or contract depending on temperature and humidity. This means that in some environments, pieces might feel slightly tighter or looser during assembly — completely normal!

If a piece feels too snug, a gentle wiggle or light sanding can help it fit perfectly. If it’s a bit loose, a tiny dab of glue will secure it nicely. These natural variations don’t affect the final result or quality of your build.

There’s not enough glue left for the rest of my build. What should I do?

Don’t worry! It’s common to use a bit more glue at the beginning before knowing how much to save for later. You can easily continue your build using wood glue, super glue, craft glue, or a hot glue gun — any adhesive that can securely bond the materials (wood, paper, or plastic) will work just as well.

My lights aren’t turning on. What should I check?

1. Make sure the batteries are fresh and inserted correctly, and that the switch is turned on.

2. Check that the wires are connected properly—red to positive and black to negative

3. Look out for any loose or damaged connections.

If you’ve double-checked everything and the lights still won’t turn on, feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to help or send a replacement if needed.

How do I display my finished jigsaw puzzle?

To keep your completed puzzle together for display, you’ll need puzzle glue or puzzle stickers. These help bond the pieces securely so the design stays intact. Once the glue or stickers are applied and dried, you can place your puzzle on the easel or frame it as a decorative piece.

Tip: Apply the glue evenly across the surface and let it dry completely before lifting or moving the puzzle.

The glue is sticking on my hand, what should I do?

Don’t worry — this is common with craft glue and easily resolved! Here’s what you can do:

  1. Let it dry slightly, then peel it off
Most white or clear craft glues will form a thin film as they dry, which can be gently peeled or rubbed off your skin once tacky.

  2. Use warm soapy water
Wash your hands with warm water and soap. Soaking for a minute or two can help loosen the glue.

  3. Avoid using harsh chemicals
There’s no need for strong solvents — just gentle washing or peeling is usually enough. If it’s super glue (not included in our kits), you can use a small amount of acetone (nail polish remover) with caution.

Next time: Use tweezers or a toothpick
For more precise application, we recommend using the included
tweezers or a toothpick to apply glue — this keeps your fingers clean and gives better control.
⚠️While glue is on your hands, avoid eating or touching your face. Wash your hands thoroughly before handling food.

How long does it take to finish one?

Most projects take 3–20 hours to complete, depending on your pace, skill level, and how much time you want to spend perfecting the details. Many builders enjoy spreading it out over a few days, dipping in and out at their own rhythm. It’s meant to be relaxing, not rushed—take your time and enjoy the process.

Is this beginner-friendly? Would it make a good gift?

Absolutely. No prior experience is needed. Our kits are designed for first timers and craft lovers alike. Each has a difficulty level that simply reflects how much time and focus you might want to invest, not whether you can do it. They also make wonderful gifts — unique, thoughtful, and something you experience, not just receive.

Are these suitable for kids?

We recommend them for ages 14+, as some parts are tiny and delicate. If younger children are involved, adult supervision is a must—but it’s a great activity to do together!

What if a piece is damaged or missing?

If you notice a part is damaged or missing before starting the build, please check your kit carefully and notify us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll review the issue and assist where possible based on availability.

However, once the kit has been destructed (e.g. popped out of a wooden board, cut out from a paper etc.) and building has begun, we’re unable to offer replacements for lost or damaged pieces. As stated in our return policy, we cannot accept returns for kits that are already in progress or missing parts due to user error.

We recommend checking all contents upon arrival and keeping them safely stored until you're ready to build.

I lost a piece. Can I get a replacement?

At the moment, we don’t offer individual part replacements. Please keep all pieces safe and double-check the contents before you begin.

If any parts are lost or damaged after you start building, QualiBoxz isn’t responsible for replacements or refunds. But don’t worry — small gaps or missing pieces usually don’t affect the final look. Be creative! Try using leftover or substitute parts, or adjust the design slightly by removing a few extra elements so everything still looks balanced. Most builds end up looking perfectly fine once completed.

I accidentally broke a piece. What can I do?

Some pieces are delicate and may require gentle handling. If a part breaks during assembly, we recommend using a small amount of clear craft glue or glue gun to repair it. In most cases, the final result will still look great. Replacement parts are not currently available, so we encourage checking all contents before starting and taking your time during the build.

If any parts are lost or damaged after you start building, QualiBoxz is not responsible for replacements or refunds.

Will there be new kits or themes?

Yes! We're always working on new designs and collaborations. You can sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when they’re released.

Do you offer instructions in English?

Yes, all our kits come with easy-to-follow illustrated instructions in English.

Do I need anything else to complete it?

Most kits include everything you need. For those with lighting, you’ll need AAA / AA batteries. If you feel it’s necessary, we recommend having extra white glue or an alcohol-based adhesive on hand for a more secure build.
